Writers Block

Okay, I don't know if you were ever told, but I ADORE writing stories. I am having a hard time writing a book that is a NOVEL and I want to get PUBLISHED. (I will send it in- not getting my hopes up, but a girl can dream! :) ) Do you have any ideas? Thanks!

Mock Trial Team

So, I am really excited because yesterday was our Mock Trial Meet. There are a bunch of schools in the U.S. that put together a team. You get a case, and have lawyers and witnesses. Every day at practice, you practice the lawyers’ questions and the witnesses' answers. At the meet, the school's Defendant team goes up against another school's Prosecution or vice versa. You earn and lose points for stuff like professionalism and objections. We went up against our arch-rival, HAND. (That was first round) At the end, there are a bunch of schools that go to state. The winner and first runner-up in the state go to nationals. And I am hoping that's us! I was a Defendant witness, and the case was about a bull getting run over. My name was Kasey Moore. I was at the stand and a girl with a heavy accent asked me if my sunglasses were polarized. I thought she said 'pulverized' and replied, "They were broken." She asked me again, and I said the same thing. It was so funny, and luckily we won't lose points because it was a simple misunderstanding. I can't wait to find out how we did. Hope you guys are doing well.
Happy birthday to Ryder! (He's getting to be such a big boy . . .) and I hope Carson is enjoying BIG-SCHOOL (He is too- I can't believe that his birthday is in February!) Hope to see you guys soon.

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!!

On 5-25 we FINALLY finished the school year. Today is our FIRST day of summer break and believe it or not, I SURVIVED THE 6^TH GRADE!! (I have to admit—it was pretty easy thanks to Mom and Dad) J Good luck in kindergarten, Carson! (You’re smart—you don’t need it.) Anyway, hope you guys have a good summer!! See ya soon! (?)

I have been going to a really cool website the past few days. You should try it:
http://www.coolmath-games.com/. I encourage everyone to explore all of the games. Some of my favorites are B-cubed, Bloxorz, Bouncing Balls, all Brick Breaking editions, Briker editions, Papa's Freezeria and Papa's Pizzeria, Fireboy and Watergirl in the Forest Temple, and Frizzle Frazz.  I think Carson is too advanced but Ryder may enjoy Feed Fribbit series in a couple of months. It works with colors, addition, and subtraction. See you in a few weeks!

P.S. We went to the circus because we got tickets as a Christmas present. Happy Easter!!

Circus: Part 2

Next came the acrobats. They sat and stood up on this wire that was so thin we couldn't even see it! Then they rode their bicycles, and the acrobats even put a bench on this connector thing and rode inbeetween the two bikes. It was really cool.

Circus: Part One

Yesterday the family went to the circus! Have you been to the circus? It's so much fun.
 At first, the clowns did really silly dances. Then they tried to fix a "lightbulb", but the ladder kept on falling down until they got a new one. It was hilarious.
Guess what else? Two really strong guys came next, and they lifted up telephone pole-sized pieces of wood. What was really cool is they could lift a swing WITH PEOPLE SWINGING ON IT!!!
I'm going to keep you guessing at what comes next.
